Every year, the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST) must pay out significant amounts, which could exceed one billion dollars, as compensation to injured employees in Quebec. This public plan is entirely financed by employers, based on the user-pay principle. Generally, an employer’s contribution increases based on the costs associated to industrial accidents suffered by the employer’s workers.
Employers are not helpless when faced with this situation. With the proper advice, they can act effectively to reduce their CSST contribution considerably, while improving the quality of their work relations and productivity. This is where our knowledge and expertise comes in.
